PAPER
Computer Paper:  Only fan fold and continuous form white, blue or green bar computer paper. (Has highest paper recycling value when sorted properly.)

Office Paper:  Includes only white printed sheets, any size. Staples okay. (Has second highest recycling value.)

Mixed Paper:  Includes pastel colored ledger paper, white office paper, manila and bleached file folders, non-glossy & non-fluorescent (colored) direct mailings (junk mail must be opened), index cards, fax paper, envelopes (with or without windows), notebook paper, carbonless paper, computer paper and white ledger paper. Glue, paperclips and staples okay.

Cardboard:  At North Valley and Pacific Steel, corrugated only.
At Valley Recycling, also include cereal box type cardboard. Brown paper bags at all locations.

Valley Recycling recently changed its policies for paper recylcing at 11 of its drop-off sites. The new rules make it easier to sort, but you should make sure that the location where you recycle uses these updated regulations. For more information, see the press release here.

PLASTIC
Recyclable plastics include:  Milk jugs, soda and other drink bottles, even detergent containers.

Rinse and remove lids, toss in with garbage.
Accepting all #1 and #2 plastics. (Look for recycling symbol on bottom of container.)
