Glass Recycling is HERE!!

New World Recycling is now offering limited recycling of glass in both Whitefish and Kalispell.  The first and third Sunday of each month, glass can be brought to two locations: at Highway 40 and US-93 in Whitefish from 12 to 1 p.m. and the Kalispell Center Mall south end from 2 to 3 p.m.  The cost is $10 per 32 gallons (or less) of glass.  Bring your glass and put it in one or more of the 32 gallon garbage can provided at each site.  The glass is collected, pulverized and offered to the public for all that you want for $20. If you just want a couple buckets, that's free, according to Cory Cullen, owner and manager of New World Recycling. Glass can be used for roads, driveways, walking paths and garden decoration.

Operation Medicine Cabinet - June 5, 2010-   osting Flathead County will be hosting a take-back day in coordination with other communities around the state will draw attention to Montana's prescription drug abuse problem as well as to the importance of properly disposing of unused meds to help protect our ground water resources in the Flathead. There will be drop off locations in Kalispell and in Whitefish. Stay tuned for more information!
