Reducing the amount and type of materials you use in everyday life makes a big difference to the volume of waste that goes in our landfill.

Also consider the amount of energy used in creating the packaging materials and you can see it really adds up.

Finding alternatives and reducing the amount of waste you produce is FUN! Enjoy looking at these pages for ideas and suggestions:

Freecycle Flathead
Give back to the community with your old items! Planning on throwing something away that someone might want? Donate it to Freecycle Flathead. This service will accept almost any item (restrictions exist on illegal or restricted objects, such as guns and prescription drugs) and give it away to other Flathead citizens. While you're donating, see if there's anything on the network that you would like. A volunteer-run organization, Freecycle Fathead is always looking for more members. Join their Yahoo group here. Who knows what you'll find?
